Studentka z Kolumbii w naszej szkole

Hi!

Angelica      My profile

My name is Maria Angelica Perez I'm from Barranquilla Colombia. I study International Business. I live with my parents and my 2 sisters and I live 15 minutes away from the sea.

In my free time I like hanging out with my friends, going to the beach and travelling to my favorite city in Colombia (Cartagena).

Right now I'm in Poland doing an exchange with AIESEC for 2 months. Joining this organization is one of the most wonderful things I have done. I have had the opportunity to meet people all around the world, show my culture in different countries, and participate in international teams. All that makes me look at the world with different eyes and understand better how people behave according to their social environment.

I'm a business student and having a global view of the world makes you think twice before doing anything. This little advantage is a small part of what AIESEC has to offer to you. Also, the global network this organization provides is one of my motivations to keep working daily. During my AIESEC activities I have meet people from many countries. Now I can say I have friends all over the world.

Now that I have come back to Colombia it feels like I just have woken up from a wonderful dream.

The experience I had in Poland was unbelievable and I have realized that a have a talent for teaching!

The job, the students, my host family, the trias. Everything about the experience was incredible. I have no words to thank everyone for making this experience so unforgettable.

The first day I felt so strange because everything was new for me, but as the days passed I quickly started to feel at home. It was not long before I knew that I didn't want this exchange to end.

Poland is a magnificent country. The people, the food, the weather, the places were all incredible.

Spending Christmas in Poland with a Polish family and experiencing their traditions was something I never imagined I would do, but I'm so happy I did. Eating 12 dishes at one night is something my stomach will never forget! As my Polish sister told me, it is all about training your stomach for a week to be able to eat all the food on Christmas eve.

Working in the school was a great experience. I loved sharing Colombian traditions, songs and culture. It's good to know that I did something useful and I helped a little bit to change the image that my country has around the world. I'm sure everybody that heard my presentation about Colombia is now interested in knowing more about this country. I think many would like to come and see with their own eyes what Colombia is made of!

Finalny, I would like to thank the Frydrych family for hosting me and making this experience one of the most incredible experiences in my life. I hope someday they will come visit me or that I will return to see them.
